What is STEM?

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

STEM at Hattie Cotton

STEM is embedded in all that we do at Hattie Cotton. Through our hands on approach to learning, we are preparing our students to be college and career ready by providing students with activities and lessons with an emphasis on STEM. Our students are encouraged to use critical thinking skills through exploratory learning. We also provide an emphasis on collaboration and exploratory learning. Each student also attends a STEM class each week. During STEM class students receive focused instruction on the STEM process which includes asking questions, brainstorming solutions, making a plan, testing it out, and improving results.
